Let The Games Begin
I woke up happy today...then I saw the headlines.
Ivanka Trump is selling the bracelet she wore for her 60 Minutes interview for
$10,000. Queen Victoria only wore a garment once, then she donated it to the poor. That is classy. Selling your bracelet because it was on television is just gauche. kind of "Mother Theresa vs Home Shopping Network".

Voter Intimidation
Though I promised myself I would not write
about this election (what could I possibly add to the fray that is original?) I
did not promise I would stay silent on the voting process.
I love to vote. It may or may not make a
difference but I feel good when casting my vote, and I feel good about the
nations we have given this privilege to.
We have early voting in Florida so today I
voted.

As soon as Trump came on the
scene I vowed not to blog on him and the more writings and television spots I
saw about him the more determined I became. The longer this has gone on the
more I have realized I have nothing unique to contribute so why bother everyone
with the same rhetoric?

"Where were you when..." A 9/11 Post
Every generation of Americans has an “I remember where I
was when….” story. Each individual person’s memory is unique, but collectively,
we all seem to remember the same event as a once in a lifetime memory maker. My
parents’ generation has the assassination of JFK as their terror, and their
parents remember Pearl Harbor.
Mine has 9-11.

Rude Awakening
From municipal buildings flying Confederate battle flags, to
cops murdering young black men in cold blood, the resurgence of racism is open
and unapologetic. We see it almost daily on the news as violence and hate speech begets more of the
same. I live in a predominantly black neighborhood and in my liberal white girl
ignorance I thought I had an idea of what this exploding racism meant
